Missions

We believe that as Christians we are called to put our faith into action by serving the needs of our community and our world. We do so by working through existing community organizations, by going on and supporting mission trips, and by being involved in ministry opportunities and groups here at First Baptist.

Missions and Music

We offer Missions and Music for both preschool and schoolage children on Wednesday nights from September to May. We hope to make our children aware of the many opportunities available for ministry in our community, our country and around the world.

Operation Insamuch

Each year our church participates in Operation Inasmuch, a day of community ministries in and around Winchester, Virginia. Breaking into teams, church members of all ages work on various projects as varied as Habitat for Humanity projects, soup kitchens, making cards for our homebound members, preparing food for a local food closet, doing clothing drives for the migrant workers in our area, and collecting books for the local prisons. Our projects change each year, depending on the needs of our community and the interests of our volunteers.
