Josephine Sweet holds a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama in the field of early childhood education, and a Masters degree in religious education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She brings over 20 years of varied experience working with preschoolers, school aged children and parents. Her main focus is to coordinate programs and activities of the children's ministry at First Baptist. Josephine is committed to three goals in this ministry:

1. Teach and show God's love to each child.
2. To encourage each child to develop a spiritual foundation.
3. Provide spiritual opportunities for each child to know their Heavenly Father more.
