Lori Horne Pendleton
Minister of Music and Senior Adults
Lori Horne Pendleton is the Minister of Music and Senior Adult Ministries. She received both bachelor and masters degrees from Shenandoah University in Vocal Performance. She has conducted various choral groups at Shenandoah University and teaches private voice majors. Here at First Baptist Church Lori directs the music program which includes choirs for all ages, handbells, chimes and small ensemble groups. She encourages all members of the congregation to share their musical gifts.
The Seniors of First Baptist Church are very active. They have a Singin' Senior choir of thirty-four members who travel and sing various concerts throughout the year. A group called the Ageless Adventurers has different activities every month including lunches out at various restaurants, shopping and sightseeing trips. We also offer quarterly bible studies for seniors during the day. The Seniors are a vital part of our ministry at First Baptist Church
